
Between 27 November 2024 – 6 December 2024, partners in the ACEWATER III project participated in three events, as part of the GORILLA (Geographical Science for Resilient Communities, Ecosystems and Livelihoods under Global Environmental Change) conference in Kampala, Uganda. The events were hosted by Makerere University.
- Summer school on Community Resilience and Geo-visualization under increasing risks 27 November – 2 December 2024
One colleague from NUST (Namibia University of Science and Technology) attended. Objective of the summer school: To provide an immersive learning experience on geo-visualization under increasing risks related to climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction, and community resilience.

- Pre-conference training on Training on Geospatial Artificial Intelligence (GeoAI) for Sustainable Biodiversity Conservation 1-3 December 2024
Eight post-graduate students and staff from eight water centres of excellence attended the pre-conference training session. CoEs include:
