Bizerte — The achievement costs of six large-scale dams in the governorate of Bizerte were revised upward in view of the delay registered in works, a regional development management report pointed out.
The costs of building works of the Gamgoum and Zyetin, the delegation of Sejenane, amounted to 123,830 millions dinars up from the initial 73.800 millions dinars.
This is the case for the dams of Ettin (Mateur), El Harka (Sejenane), El Malah (Ghazala) and Dwimiss (southern Bizerte).
The members of the regional council underlined the need to adopt the necessary administrative and technical measures to speed up the construction of dams.
These six dams will allow to store up 175 million cubic metres of water and ensure the supply of several regions of the governorate with drinking water.
