The National Leader of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has said that Gov. Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo state does not deserve a second term because he has failed to perform creditably during his first term.
Asiwaju Tinubu spoke on Tuesday as the campaign train of the Ondo State ACN gubernatorial candidate, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu, rolled into Akokoland, North Senatorial District.
According to an ACN statement signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Asiwaju Tinubu enjoined the people to vote out Dr. Mimiko of the Labour Party on October 20th, having failed to deliver on roads, education, health care, water and job creation.
“If you use three years to build one hospital, you will use 15 years to build three. which market is he building? That is the domain of my mother in Lagos,” Asiwaju told the mammoth crowd who defied a downpour to attend the campaign rally, which was held in a carnival-like atmosphere at the Ikare Cenotapth.
Also speaking at the rally, the governorship candidate, Mr. Akeredolu, reiterated his commitment to women and youth development in the state, promising to redeem his promise to create 30,000 jobs for the youths, if voted into office.
