Gambia: Mass Axi Gai Is New Minister of Fisheries and Water Resources

Mass Axi Gai, The Gambia’s ambassador to the Republic of Senegal, has been appointed as the new minister of Fisheries and Water Resources, a media release from State House announced yesterday.

The release states: His Excellency the President of the Republic of The Gambia Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr Yahya AJJ Jammeh, acting under the provisions of sections 71(1) and 71(3) of the Constitution of the Republic of The Gambia, has appointed Mass Axi Gai as Minister of Fisheries and Water Resources with effect from 17th October 2012.
