Eritrea: Farmers Called Upon to Practice Utilization of Resources

Hagaz — The Area Administration of Ad-Omer, Hagaz sub-zone, has called on the inhabitants to practice judicious utilization of natural resources and social service facilities.

Stating that the area is endowed with diverse indigenous trees and wildlife, Mr. Mohammed Mohammed-Ibrahim from the administrative office pointed out that a 500 hectare-wide grass enclosure has been established so as to ensure animal feed. He also explained that the availability of potable water supply and health facilities along with the dirt road to Hagaz semi-urban center are playing significant role in the improvement of the inhabitants’ livelihood.

Among the inhabitants, Ms. Asha Ibrahim said that they are exerting endeavors to back up implementation of development programs in the area, and lauded the community sensitization activities on the part of the local health institution.
