Angola: Water Sector to Increase Production Capacity

Cabinda — The water sector in northern Cabinda province is ready for the rehabilitation and expansion of abstraction, treatment and distribution station of water to increase the levels of supply of these products to the populations of urban areas and outskirts of the provincial capital.

This was assured Friday by the acting provincial secretary of the Waters in Cabinda, Filipe Barros, underlining that this is part of the local government’s commitment for this year, aimed at improving and increase the capacity of water distribution.

According to the official, for this final phase of 2012, the government is currying out the process of rehabilitation and extension systems for abstraction treatment and distribution of stations 1 and 2.

He said that this will allow a greater capacity of water supply in urban and peripheral city of Cabinda.
